Hello, I’m Halil.

We are a family of three living in İzmir: my partner, our child and me. We love travelling and spending hours researching before a trip. We started exploring Europe in 2025, when our child was four. Our first stop was Belgium: we visited Bruges, Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp by train, then continued to Amsterdam.

The unsung hero of our trips is our stroller. It came everywhere with us; we even used it to carry our backpacks. It became one of our greatest sources of help along the way.

I created Rotalarımız to bring together the information we wanted before setting off but could never find in one place: where to stay, how to travel between cities by train and how much things actually cost. For families with young children, there are other questions too: will a stroller fit along these streets, will this museum keep a child interested, and is there a playground nearby?

How are the guides written?

• I have visited most of the places I write about. I clearly say when I have not.
• I check information that can change, such as visa and entry requirements, against official sources.
• I give prices and budgets alongside the date of our visit and update them regularly.
